The Beverly Theater
About
THIS PROJECT
The Beverly Theater is a 15,000 SF venue used for showcasing independent films, live music and literary events in downtown Las Vegas, Nevada. The theater consists of 146 retractable seats with a total capacity of 407 people. In addition to the main theater, the building includes a performer’s green room, catering kitchen, on-site box office, concessions area, educational workspaces and an outdoor event-space. Technical features of the theater include:
- A telescopic, retractable seating system
- Audiovisual system
- A theatrical lighting rig
- Acoustical wall panels
- Sound treatments
- A soundproof sliding wall
- Lighting equipment
The main theater space features a custom, sliding acoustical door used to cover the NanaWall system during cinematic performances while maintaining the acoustical integrity within the theater. The ability to retract the NanaWall system and custom door transforms the space into a multipurpose venue, opening the area between the theater, courtyard and lobby.

FACADE
The exterior façade and roof are partially screened with 514 custom white perforated metal panels. The team strategically planned the five different variations of panels so none were installed with repeat patterns adjacent to each other, per the client’s request. The panels create a beautiful play of light, color and shadow on the terrace and courtyard where gatherings and live music events take place. Exterior landscaping covered more than 2,300 SF and included planting 505 plants in the area.
