Unwavering Dedication to Customer Delight
How fortunate we are to get to work in an industry that produces such a tangible work product that profoundly affects so many lives. We face difficult obstacles on all of our projects, but at the end of the day we collectively turn around, look at what we’ve helped to create, and it takes our breath away. It’s why we do it.”
– Tim Regan, President and CEO
OUR MISSION
Since 1909, Whiting-Turner has been an engineer-run company guided by the core principles developed by our founder, G.W.C. Whiting. Our mission is to build on our reputation for integrity, excellence, experience and leadership as the nation’s finest construction organization by:
- Continuously improving the quality of our work and services
- Constantly striving to exceed each client’s expectations
- Maintaining our dedication to the highest moral principles
- Providing our people with a challenging, secure and safe environment in which to achieve personal career goals
OUR CULTURE
Each of our employees is an integral part of Whiting-Turner’s amazing and unique culture. As we continue to grow, we maintain a universal corporate culture where our employees are dedicated to quality workmanship, safe practices, innovative technologies, community outreach and the highest ethical standards. Our corporate and regional officers have been with Whiting-Turner since the earliest stages of their careers and promote this philosophical and operational consistency across the country.
OUR STABILITY
Our demonstrated stability, industry standing and financial strength serves as a model for the construction industry. We are financially independent with no debt and maintain a bonding capacity of $4 billion. Our strategy to promote from within allows us to develop our talent and leadership internally and encourages employee retention. We perennially rank with the top domestic general building contractors by Engineering News-Record (ENR), and do so through internal growth, not acquisition.
OUR HISTORY
“G.W.C. Whiting and LeBaron Turner founded Whiting-Turner in 1909 on the belief that integrity, engineering talent, and a dedication to our customers would make us the very best in the industry. For more than a century, our success and reputation have been testaments to their wisdom.”
