Lego Ninjago
About
THIS PROJECT
The LEGO Ninjago project is a new 20,500 SF, single-story building constructed within 15 feet of the Coastersaurus wooden roller coaster, which stayed open the entire duration of the project. The project includes The Ride, a queue line, retail space and interactive games within the land.
The Ride is the first 4D hands-free interactive ride in the theme park. It features a hand-gesture technology which enables guests to control the game with their hands and blast villains with animated fireballs, lightening and more. The Ride has sensors built into the train where riders use hand movements in a striking motion to act like ninja warriors.
The new Ninjago land also includes a courtyard where guests can train and practice their ninja moves before entering the ride. Training areas include a rock-climbing wall to test their strength, reaction game where guests can demonstrate their reflexes and spinners where they test their balance. The structure of the ride area is a pre-engineered metal building while the queue and retail area is structural wood framed.
