THIS PROJECT
The Intelligence Community Campus – Bethesda contract is a Single Award Task Order Construction Contract (SATOCC) with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. This project includes the 220,000 SF secure Centrum building, 500,000 SF of renovation work in two secure buildings and, ultimately, over 720,000 SF of new construction/renovations to existing structures meeting DoD AT/FP, ballistic resistance and SCIF standards. The design-build team used innovative solutions, solid sustainable principles and Lean practices to create world-class, secure work environments. The 36-acre, highly secured campus is comprised of the following:
- Offices and workstation suites
- 500-seat auditorium
- National Intelligence University
- Conferencing centers
- Dining and a cafe
- Gathering terrace with green roof
- Fitness center
- Data center

The campus was renovated while one building, adjacent to the new construction, remained operational. There was an active secure perimeter, and all workers had to be U.S. citizens and pass a screening by the security office.
This project is designed to LEED® Silver standards and received the following awards:
- 2018 National Award of Merit in Rehabilitation/Renovation/Restoration by DBIA for the ICC-B Erskine Hall Cafeteria
