Cypress Grove Chevre Cheese Plant
About
THIS PROJECT
The Cypress Grove Chevre project was a design-assist expansion of an existing operational artisan goat cheese processing facility that tripled the size and capacity of the plant. The 25,000 SF expansion was integrated with the existing plant and process lines without a single lost day of production. The new building is a USDA-compliant facility that includes:
- Complex mechanical systems
- Refrigeration systems
- Electrical services
- Process controls
- High-performance polyurethane coatings
- Acid brick finishes
- Insulated metal panels
- Truck canopy
- Stainless steel fixtures
- Washdown application
The project also involved various site access improvements that covered over 10 acres. The work included three water retention ponds, truck driveway accesses, expanded parking, upgrades to street sidewalks, planting of edible walkway and redistributing all spoils throughout the site. The project was also designed for one of the most seismically challenged locations in the United States.
