Miami University North Quad
About
THIS PROJECT
The Miami University North Quad project was a 270,000 SF, phased renovation consisting of improvements to Brandon, Flower, Hahne and Hepburn residence halls, as well as Martin Student Center, which includes dining and fitness space. A part of the University’s long-term housing master plan, the project totaled over 1,000 beds on 11 acres of a wooded site. Improvements included updates to finishes and restrooms, as well as renovations to include a new HVAC system, exteriors and electrical systems that lowers maintenance and utility costs for the University.
The project also involved extensive sitework and infrastructure improvements, including the replacement of underground utilities, new outdoor gathering spaces and a new pedestrian/bicycling path network. The path improves circulation and serves as emergency and service access, as well as a pedestrian main street for new outdoor dining and social spaces.
This project achieved LEED® Silver certification.
