This project involved a complete gut, structural modification and renovation of a historic RJ Reynolds tobacco production facility into the corporate headquarters for Inmar, Inc. The 254,000 SF building includes:

One section of the building is five stories and was originally constructed in 1926. The connecting two-story section was built in the 1950s and included the addition of two new floors. The entire exterior of building was preserved, and over 1,200 windows were replicated and replaced. Many of the windows are irregular sizes, as each opening was originally a window, louver or another existing penetration. During the project, opening sizes were maintained to mirror the original opening.

In addition, most of the building is supported by the original structure. Apart from the two additional floors, the building includes the original concrete columns, floors, steel roof trusses, precast roof panels and other structural components.
