Bally’s Las Vegas Room Remodel
About
THIS PROJECT
The Bally’s Las Vegas Room Remodel project included the renovation of corridors and 2,054 guestrooms on 20 levels of the new Resort Tower. The upgrades spanned over 1.3 million SF and consisted of:
- Asbestos and mold abatement
- Demolition and replacement of guestroom and corridor wallcoverings and carpet
- Repainting of door frames and ceilings
- New doors and door hardware
- New shower pans, tubs, shower doors, wall tile and plumbing fixtures
- Demolition and replacement of floor tile and accessories
- New vanity sinks and fixtures
- New bars constructed of millwork and stone
The project involved 650 trades people working on seven floors concurrently. The floors above and below the construction levels remained occupied for the duration of construction, and Whiting-Turner worked closely with the property to minimize disturbances required for plumbing and modifications on occupied floors. Shutdowns for valve replacements were carefully coordinated so that rooms sharing risers received proper notice and limited shutdown time. Furthermore, all construction traffic was coordinated so that back-of-house corridors and loading docks remained clean and accessible throughout construction.
