Cambria Hotel at Arundel Preserve

About

THIS PROJECT

The Cambria Hotel at Arundel Preserve is an 80,000 SF, four-story, wood-framed facility in Hanover, Maryland. The hotel includes 122 guestrooms, conference rooms, a full-service bar and kitchen, fitness center, pool and a partially covered outdoor patio. Each room has vinyl plank floors, a variable refrigerant flow unit using outside air, a Bluetooth mirror and custom wallpaper. All of the walls were built and panelized off-site, which accelerated the schedule and allowed the facility to be completed in just 14 months.

This unique hotel is themed around Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. For example, the wallpaper in each room features various areas of the airport, the carpet in the hallways highlights views from an airplane and the hotel signage uses terms commonly found in an airport, such as ‘Arrival.’

The hotel achieved LEED® Gold certification. Sustainable components include solar panels, high-efficiency fixtures that save over 659,000 gallons of water annually, electric vehicle charging stations and the diversion of 290 tons of construction waste from the landfill to be recycled.
