Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium
About
THIS PROJECT
Located adjacent to Bass Pro Shops National Headquarters, the Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium project involved a multi-phased renovation and expansion of a 100,000 SF facility to boast world-class exhibits and galleries. The expansion involved a complete gut of the interiors, demolition of the center building structure, a new basement to house the complex life support systems and structural enhancements for a variety of fresh and saltwater exhibits.
The displays include a flooded rain forest exhibit, shark and ray touch tanks, catfish and turtle feeding pools, a large living coral tank and a nocturnal swamp, just to name a few. These immersive exhibits bring museum visitors up close with over 35,000 animals, including over 800 species of sharks, rays, jellyfish, eels and sport fish.
