Providence Place Mall Garage Renovations

About

THIS PROJECT

The Providence Place Mall Garage project took place in a footprint that stretched over 50 acres within an urban setting in downtown Providence. The first portion of the garage project included interior demolition of a three-level JC Penney anchor store, and it was converted into two levels of parking spaces and one level of future tenant space. The second portion involved renovation of the parking garage with concrete restoration, painting, lighting and other minor improvements of an existing 2 million SF parking garage.

In addition to the garage modifications, this project also included large improvements to 32 entrances to the interior of the mall. This included large work at the entrances to the garage and 16 vestibule entrances within the garages. The project was carefully phased in order to keep the parking garage and mall entrances operational throughout construction.
