M&T Bank Exchange

About

THIS PROJECT

The M&T Bank Exchange project included the renovation of a 25,000 SF, two-story building originally built in the late 1800s. The building first served as the Eutaw Savings Bank until 1974 when it closed and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Properties. Several historical elements were refurbished or recreated with new finishes such as paint, terrazzo flooring and plaster. This space was designed for three different configurations which include a banquet configuration, a theater configuration and a stand-up configuration. It is used as a flexible space for community events, live entertainment, galas, weddings, special occasions and corporate events. Renovations of the project included:

  • Two new mezzanine levels
  • Retractable seating for 280 people
  • Lobby area
  • Four upgraded air handling units
  • Upgrading electrical service
  • Theatrical lighting, audio and rigging systems
  • Addition of three bars
