The Smith Center for the Performing Arts is a world-class complex encompassing three performance theaters. It features music, theater and dance companies, and is home to the Las Vegas Philharmonic and Nevada Ballet Theater. The 400,000 SF facility includes:

Reynold’s Hall the main focal point of the campus with its distinct 17-story, 170-foot-tall Carillon tower. The Carillon tower houses 47 fully functional, cast bronze bells weighing over 23,000 pounds. These bells, engraved with sponsor names, ring on the hour and can be programmed to different songs via a keyboard in the building’s Carillon Salon. In addition, Reynolds Hall includes a grand lobby with Italian marble and highly ornate lounges for high-level patrons.

The project also included the development of Symphony Park, which is a 1.6-acre, mixed-use park and concert event plaza. Theatrical infrastructure allows for the flexibility of being a vibrant plant-enriched park during the day that accents The Smith Center and allows for concerts and large outdoor events at night. The custom rigging poles and string light fixtures that span the width of the park provide a light canopy that creates the illusion of being indoors at a concert hall. The signature focal point of the park is the Tim Bavington original art piece, which acts as a backdrop to a removable stage.

This project achieved LEED® Gold certification and was awarded the 2013 NAIOP Southern Nevada Spotlight Award for Community Impact and the Las Vegas Mayor’s Award.
