The project also included a renovation to the Resnick Pavilion, which is a four-story, long-term care building for 160 residents. There was a complete window renovation to meet the current codes and existing mechanical systems were upgraded to service the facility.
The Edwards Pavilion is a three-story, 42,000 SF skilled nursing facility with 52 studio apartments where residents can receive on-site medical services. This portion of the project included a courtyard garden, entry feature, new finishes and utility services upgrades.
Two floors were upgraded and transformed from long-term care into assisting living, and one floor was converted into skilled nursing space.
Whiting-Turner recently completed a 4,850 SF expansion to the existing main entry to the Joseph L. Morse Geriatric Center for the new PACE (Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) program. The new space includes three adult daycare areas, office and medical space, a meeting room and a quiet room.
