Weston Athletic Complex
About
THIS PROJECT
The Weston Athletic Complex project added two synthetic turf fields, a 400-meter, NCAA-compliant running track, grandstand area and team support building. The fields are home to William College’s football, lacrosse, field hockey and track and field programs. Both fields and the running track are lighted with Musco Lighting systems.
Significant landscape and hardscape changes were made across the entire 16-acre site. The team support building is a 30,000 SF building with home and visitor locker rooms. Along with the locker rooms, there are lounge areas, athletic training rooms, hydrotherapy rooms and the equipment/laundry room. The building’s terrace levels lead out to overlook the fields. The grandstand area includes a 1,400-seat bleacher system and a press box. Under the grandstand seating area is a concourse including public restrooms and concession areas.
This project was built in nine months, starting right after the final football game and completed before the first game the following season.
